LarsLap
Model G-B
Model G-B grinds/laps Gate and Gate Valve Wedges, Globe,
Check and Safety valves with flat seats. Diameter capabilities
of grinding 6”- 24”.
LarsLap Mechanically Driven Technology :
The patented LarsLap equipment is a mechanically driven
system with all grinding wheels moving at the same rate
of speed producing a perfect crosshatch pattern as the
inside and outside of the seat is ground at the same
time. Each grinding wheel is o-ring driven resulting
in a process that is approximately five (5) times faster
than traditional methods available today. The driving
plate pivots instead of the grinding wheels, which places
the pressure in the middle of the driving plate. This
results in a perfectly flat seat – without undesirable
effects such as concave or convex seats. These results
can also be seen when grinding a seat that has become
concave or convex due to improper grinding. With the
mechanically driven technology the damaged seats can
be ground to become flat. The direction of the motor
on the LarsLap equipment can be easily reversed (compressed
air reversible motor drive).
Versatility:
Model G-B of the LarsLap equipment is provided for use
on Gate, Globe, Check, Safety and Control Valves with
flat seats.
Mounting Technology:
The mounting plate mounts onto the valve’s flange
with a 3-point assembly that acts as a quick grip vice.
This mounting device completely eliminates the use of
C-clamps.
The LarsLap equipment may be set up prior to entering
the valve with only fine adjustments necessary once
the machine is set up in the valve. As the equipment
is mechanically driven, it is unnecessary to have the
grinding wheels centered perfectly. The LarsLap wheels
need only to cover the seat in order to work correctly.
The machine is quickly and easily mounted. The mounting
frame does not need to be removed and reset when changing
grinding paper on the grinding heads or grinding opposite
side of seat. Mounting is versatile – the equipment
can be mounted in any direction.

Model FL
Model FL-BC grinds/laps gate, globe, check and safety
valves with flat seats. Diameter capabilities of grinding
2.5”-8” valve seats. Request pricing for
FL-AC for angle seats.

Versatility:
Model FL-BC is provided for use on Gate and Gate Valve
Wedges, Globe, Check, Safety and Control Valves with
flat seats. The Model FL-AC is available for use on
Gate, Globe, Check, Safety and Control Valves with flat
seats and Globe valves with angle seats, 15-30-45 degree
angle segments. Diameter capabilities of grinding 2.5”
- 8”. One does not require an additional machine
or accessory to work on each individual valve type.
Mounting
Technology:
The mounting technology is the same for the Model FL
as for the Model G and S. The mounting plate mounts
onto the valve’s flange with a 3-point assembly
that acts as a quick grip vice. This mounting device
completely eliminates the use of C-clamps.

LarsLap
Model K-AB ELACC
Features:
Grinds/laps globe, control, and safety relief valves
with flat seats 1/2" - 4", and angle seats
1/2" - 2.5". Pneumatic and electric motors
are capable of various grinding speeds for close control
of the finished surface. Self-adhesive grinding paper
is used for fast attachment to the grinding heads.
Versatility:
The standard Model K grinds Globe, Control and Safety
Relief valves with flat seats and angle seats. Both
electric and pneumatic driven technology is available
as standard.
Mounting
Technology:
The LarsLap Model K utilizes a conical cone that self
centers onto the top of the valve’s flange. Three
(3), angle segments 15-30-45 degree, are included which
cover the standard valve sizes for globe valves. A guide
fits into the bore below the valve seat in order to
pilot the grinding of the valve seat. The guide assists
as a fastening device for the adhesive grinding paper.
LarsLap
Model S-C
LarsLap Model S-C grinds/laps gate valves, gate valve
wedges, and check valves with flat seats. Diameter capabilities
1”-4” valves.
Features:
The Model S-C’s grinding heads are reversible
for 3 degree outside relief grinding. The grinding heads
are sized for all standard gate and check valves from
1”-4”.
Versatility:
The S-C is utilized for the smaller valve sizes - Gate
& Check Valves and Gate Valve Wedges– no adapters
necessary. LarsLap Model S-C is maneuverable as it is
capable of moving vertical and horizontal controlled
from the top the valve.
Mounting
Technology:
The mounting technology is the same for the Model S-C
as for the Model G and FL.
